STRYPER's TIM GAINES: 'God Is Doing Great Things In These Last Days'
December 8, 2002STRYPER's plans to record two new studio tracks for inclusion on a new "Best Of Stryper" album, due in the spring via Hollywood Records, may lead to the band releasing a full-length album of new material, according to bassist Tim Gaines.
"In case you have not heard the GREAT news, STRYPER will reunite in the studio to record two new songs, written by [frontman] Michael Sweet, for a new 'Best Of Stryper' CD and possible DVD due out Spring 2003 on Hollywood Records," Gaines wrote on his official web site. "We will be recording in Massachusetts the first week of January. I just received my demo copy to learn the music, and it sounds like the new tunes will be winners.
"This is NOT a STRYPER reunion, but it is a start of something that could turn out really good for all of us... fans and band members alike. Of course, my hope is to one day release a new STRYPER album, with all new songs written by the whole band. This could lead to that if the response is positive. Keep us in your prayers over the next few months that God would lead in our lives. He is doing GREAT things in these last days."
